Stay Out Of The Pawn Shop!!!!

If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. John 15:7

Many of us have had the experience of utilizing a pawn shop. Whether it was selling, pawning, or buying something it was a unique experience. Most times, we utilize these shops when we find ourselves running low on funds. We find something of value, take it to the shop, and try to bargain to get as much as possible for the item...even though we know we will never receive even close to the full amount that we purchased it for. The problem is once the item is pawned and you return to retrieve it, you pay more to get it back than what you received to pawn it in the first place. If you sell the item to the pawn shop, they turn around and sell that same item for twice as much as they paid to buy it from you. Sounds like robbery doesn't it. Yet we go through this very same process in our spiritual lives at times. Amazing!

Sometimes we lack something in our lives, so we begin to bargain with the Devil and compromise our values and standards to get it. We enter into his "Pawn Shop" to see what he can offer us. Most times we do it...not even aware that we are doing it. Sometimes we pawn our peace for prosperity or fortune. Sometimes we pawn our money for fame, prestige or recognition. Sometimes we pawn our self-esteem, value, and morality for notoriety. The Devil never pays what the full value is on any of these things because he can't. He didn't give them to you, and he never could get his hands on them...until you brought them in and pawned them. He couldn't even estimate a cost for them because they are priceless...their value is far above anything this would could produce. Why? Because they are provided by Almighty God. Everything the Devil has is counterfeit and is worthless. So all the Devil can do is offer you fake reality based on what he thinks it's worth. You then decide that you want your peace and your joy back, so you go back to his pawn shop to buy them back...only to find that the price to buy them back is far too expensive. So you begin to pawn other valuable gifts to get the original ones back. Soon you run out of items to pawn and you are in a worse state than you were to begin with. You have gained nothing back, and the enemy now has everything you've owned and possessed in his pawn shop...the only thing left is your soul.

God is saying, "Stay Out Of The Devil's Pawn Shop!" Your Heavenly Father has everything you need stored away in a Heavenly storehouse with your name on it. The only thing he asks of you is to love Him with all your heart and soul. Submit to him and obey him. Abide/remain in him...in his presence...in his word...in his spirit. Act, move and speak according to his word. When you do these things, he says that you can ask for anything and he will perform or provide it; given it lines up with his word. The only things that you have to give up in order to receive what is in your storehouse is yourself, your will, and your control and let the Holy Spirit take over. You have full access to everything you need at the sound of your voice.

So put the Devil's pawn shops out of business and fill your temple, your life, your home, family, job, and ministry with the abundant, priceless, and matchless gifts that God has stored up for you. Visit your storehouse today...you'll be pleasantly surprised!
